Several innovations have made the new DZire lighter, quieter and nimble; the petrol variant delivers an enhanced fuel efficiency of 19.1 km per litre and the diesel variant promises improved fuel efficiency of 23.4 km per litre

Several innovations have made the new DZire lighter, quieter and nimble; the petrol variant delivers an enhanced fuel efficiency of 19.1 km per litre and the diesel variant promises improved fuel efficiency of 23.4 km per litre.
The new Swift DZire built on a brand new platform measures 3995mm in length, has a width of 1695mm. In addition, it is 25mm higher at 1530mm and a larger wheel base of 2430mm adding to overall vehicle stability.
The new Swift Dzire is powered by VVT technology that brings improved engine efficiency, optimized fuel consumption and lower carbon emissions
The K12M VVT petrol engine delivers a power of 87 Ps @ 6000 rpm and torque of 114Nm @ 4000 rpm which empowers the new Swift Dzire to cruise, accelerate and climb steep inclines, effortlessly.
The diesel variant of the new Swift Dzire is equipped with D13 A 1.3 litre Intercooler turbocharger DDiS engine returns a torque of 190 Nm @ 2000 rpm and power of 75 Ps @ 4000 rpm.
The famous `detent pin technology' has been integrated in the transmission to reduce frictional loss during gears shifts
The new Swift DZire will be OBD-2 compliant. On Board Diagnostics informs the customer of any malfunction in the emission control system which may lead to undue increase in exhaust emissions
he new Swift DZire offers tighter turning radius of 4.8m and best in class ground clearance of 170mm. The optimized boot now measures 316 litres enough for a family sedan.
The vehicle has in place fine tuned Rally Based Suspension System Suspension that enhances vehicle stability and handling precision especially while cornering.
The DZire has in place many in-built safety features such as a monocoque body with stronger frame, collapsible steering column, crumple zones, side impact beams on door, adjustable individual head restraints.
The interiors of the new Swift DZire have been completely revamped. It now sports a multi-layered dash board with a waterfall console
High points of the interiors include, Tilt steering, Steering mounted Audio Control, premium dual coloured theme of beige and black, wood finish inserts, silver accents, leather trims, chrome inserts, high grade seat fabric
The new DZire comes with electrically adjustable ORVMS and a USB with iPod connectivity, digital tuner with DSP unit, 6 speakers with enhanced sound quality.
The new DZire is revamped with better and imporvecd AC vents, horn Pad, parking brake lever, glove-box and front-rear seats.
The new DZire sports large front seat back pocket and door bottle holders add to passenger comfort.
Maruti has also improved the buttons design and increased the driver side storage space, rear legroom and foot space
The DZire brings along a quieter cabin, by employing effective sound dampeners and sealants and using a hydraulic engine mounting system, the cabin noise has been brought down significantly over 3 decibel.
With over 150 new features added, the company is confident the compact new Swift DZire will help expand the entry sedan segment.
Pacific blue is the new signature colour of the new Swift DZire. Glistening Grey is the second new colour on the new Swift Dzire making the car available in a range of 7 colours.

The new Swift DZire will be manufactured at the Company’s state-of-the-art Manesar plant and it will be out by the first week of February this year
